Spider Veins in Your 50’s!
How Age Affects the Occurrence of Spider Veins
Changes to the body’s chemistry happen on an ongoing internal schedule for everybody. It is in the 50’s however, that far too many of the body’s chemicals start to kick in. The body is changing gears, so-to-speak and getting ready for a somewhat slower second part of its cycle.
At this point in time, the body has also gone through many changes and is now finding the outcomes of those changes. For many people, spider veins are one of those outcomes. These outcomes happen for many reasons but generally wear and tear and hormone changes are the primary movers.
Taking advantage of creams (StriMedix®-K - Click here to learn more) and lotions are a good way to stem the tide of changes like spider veins but, for the most part, they are all part-and-parcel of growing older and living with the genetic cards you were dealt.
Another fun fact of gravity
The human body has evolved over time into a biological machine designed to walk. It, however, has yet to factor in many aspects of the process. Gravity is one such factor that the body has yet to fully address in all it wonder. There are aspects of the body where gravity has been allowed for but not fully.
Spider veins are and are not one such gravity adjustment still in progress. There is a valve built into your vein system that allows for parts of the vein to shut so that blood doesn’t just head right for the feet.
If the valve doesn’t do its job, blood needs to find another way to get where it needs to be.
Capillary creation is sometimes the result. These vein creations are often the smaller parts of the "feeder". Unfortunately, age is the culprit in this case as the body has been vertical a large portion of the time it has been working.
Add them to the hormone list
Since women are the "victims" in approximately 70% of the cases, it can be of little surprise that hormones, in a woman’s 50’s, play a certain role in their formation. Spider vein treatment in the body’s 50’s is very common and offers many courses of action. Some of these courses, like creams, are less invasive while others are a bit more invasive.
Understanding your body
As you get into your 50’s you likely have a fairly good idea of what makes your body go and what makes it stall. Spider veins are largely cosmetic unless they happen to become a part of a larger issue. Taking a less invasive proactive approach will ultimately help you with your body’s changes and make you feel better about yourself in the continuously changing aging process. |
